Lottie Moon Legacy Memorabilia

A link to Southern Seminary’s erstwhile affiliation with the Woman’s Missionary Union Training School, several items connected with Lottie Moon, Southern Baptists’ most famous missionary, are encased on display. These items include Moon’s spectacles, her eating utensils used in China during her four-decade stay, a pocket-size King James Bible gifted to Moon by her friend Mollie Lynne, Moon’s personal copy of John R. Mott’s The Decisive Hour of Christian Missions, and her personal copy of The Psalms in Hebrew and English, signed and inscribed by Southern Seminary professor Crawford H. Toy, who is widely believed to have proposed marriage to Moon prior to his resignation from the seminary over heterodox doctrine.
