It appears that the seminary’s first librarian, Dr. Boyce, collected catalogs from prominent American seminaries and Baptist colleges. The collection went through a new phase of development in the 1970s and 1980s, under the direction of Dr. Deering, with a focus on Baptist related academic institutions in addition to other Protestant ATS schools. This collection is no longer developed.
Particularly important are the 19th century catalogs in the collection, with extensive holdings from Furman, Mississippi College, Newton Theological Institute, Georgetown College, Mercer University, Baylor University, and University of Richmond.
