Findley B. Edge (1916 – 2002) was the Basil Manly Jr. Professor of Christian Education at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he taught from 1947 to 1984. He also served as senior professor of Christian education from 1984 to 1987. The author of several important books in the area of Christian education, Edge was most well known for Teaching for Results and The Quest for Vitality in Religion.
The Findley Edge Papers contain 26 boxes of general files, correspondence, lecture and seminar notes, course materials, sabbatic notes, notes of pastoral care, workbooks in church efficiency, Sunday school leadership training materials, papers concerning parachurch organizations, and miscellaneous papers. It also includes 16 boxes of materials concerning the Vineyard Conference Center. The Archives has prepared an online finding aid.
