Grady Nutt
Grady Nutt (1934-1982) gained his fame as a television personality on the show “Hee Haw.” However, Nutt was first and foremost a Baptist minister. A graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1964, Nutt served as director of alumni affairs and assistant to the president in the late 1960s. In the 1970s, Nutt began an itinerant ministry that combined humor and biblical story telling. He died in 1982 in a plane crash after a speaking engagement in Alabama.
The Nutt Collection consists of two books, containing correspondence, memorials, photographs, stationary, sound recordings, video recordings, and other materials. The Archives has prepared a finding aid for this collection.
